Biography
Akhil Sivanandan is the co-founder of Green Story, an analytics and marketing startup for companies with eco-friendly products or services. The company is part of the MaRS Discovery District and Ryerson University’s Social Venture Zone. The company aims to enable a clean and socially responsible model of doing business for companies globally. Prior to his work with Green Story, he worked on M&A deals worth over $200 million in the Ontario electricity sector and drafted options for the Ontario Cap and Trade and Offsets programs.
Akhil has also worked in market research and consulting in the sustainability and renewable energy sector for companies such as Philips Lighting and Vestas, and has been cited and interviewed in multiple publications including the New York Times.
Akhil holds an M.B.A from Rotman School of Management, and a B. Tech, Computer Science and Engineering, from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India.
