Biography
Robert Oakley supports R&D at re:3D Inc, a 3D printing company focused on creating human-scale 3D printers to assist global problem solvers. Robert is currently responsible for wrapping up re:3D’s second Kickstarter campaign for OpenGigabot, a community designed 3D printer. Robert is attending the University of Texas at San Antonio for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In High School, he competed in the First Robotics Competition where robots he helped win five regional competitions, one world championship, and numerous awards. He now actively mentors other FIRST students while pursuing multiple maker projects.
